Critical illness insurance is a form of insurance that provides a lump-sum payment should the insured become seriously ill. The benefit amount listed in the policy is paid out tax-free directly to the insured.

Can I apply for coverage with a pre-existing condition?

Anyone between the ages of 18-69 with a permanent Canadian address is approved for coverage up to $50,000, regardless of any pre-existing health conditions. For coverage over $50,000 there are 6 qualifying health questions that may exclude some pre-existing conditions.
